Mas d'en Blei, 'Petit Blei'

From the Catalan region of Priorat, the only other DOCa alongside Rioja, where Grenache and Carinena produce powerful reds high in alcohol and tannins. This wine is definitely both of these things (hello 15%!), but being the 'little' wine of the estate, means it remains approachable and easy-going. 6 months in French oak, the finish is silky and long, with dark fruits and a hint of balsamic. One to savour by the fire.
